Normally I put my heart and soul into written material - especially that designed to "sell" myself....but here's my attitude currently...

No profile makes up for realizing a conversation, or at a minimum, a quick email exchange...I can tell you what makes me smile, or the travels I've had...I can spend six hours composing something here that is beautifully executed but delivers nothing of real substance because that would require you to meet me and see for yourself the humor I am quick to spout, or the way I tilt my head when I'm listening to you or the fact that I can hold my end of just about any conversation? I'm a tango of balanced contrasts from formal to jeans, simple/complex, generous/selfish, lazy/driven, beautiful/plain, Beethoven/Beatles, city/country, dogs/cats, dining out/cooking in, mountains/beaches (you get the picture). You will find me gloriously extravagant with my affections and loyal to a fault.

I'm certain we were not supposed to travel this world alone and I have faith that the next chapters in my book will find me traveling in tandem with someone special.

I am an extrovert; a weekend athlete (hopefully doing my 7th marathon this fall); a Christian; only have a glass of wine on days ending in "y" and have a wicked sense of humor. My job at Dept of Homeland Security is stressful enough; I am looking for a special person with whom we can enjoy LIFE and have fun. I have two master's (big deal) and I was born at an early age. But Mom liked me best. Yes, I really have been divorced for years; have two grown children, both of whom are college grads; and I just became hooked on Downton Abby. The rest is for a conversation.

I love to travel and tie that in with my love of photography. I'm pretty laid back and am not able to participate in energetic activities.

I am a retired federal executive -- I worked in the fields of communications, budget and congressioal affairs -- I retired 4 years ago but I have returned as a emeritus volunteer in my old agency at my old office. In addition I volunteer at a northern Va no-kill animal shelter -- I walk dogs and take them to adoption events -- it is very rewarding to get these pups adopted.

Gentle caring person who continues to work full time as a Registered Nurse. Animal lover I have a Yellow Lab and 2 cats . Spent quite a few years travelling across this country working as a travel nurse in a 32 ft RV with my husband. My favorite spot is Gold Beach, Oregon Although San Diego comes in a close second.. Love the outdoors, would love to continue to travel this country. Visit the National Parks .I also am a great cook but I like to cook for someone. I enjoy gardening very much. In fact I have a great crop of tomatoes, eggplant and cucumbers this year and all organic (no pesticides). These days I find comfort out in the garden. I had an excellent relationship with my husband who passed away and would like to find a person to begin a meaningful relationship with. I am also an avid reader and love to experience new things.

I'm all about animals! All animals. I fight for them everyday. I'm fun, funny & passionate... So I'm told :) I work front desk @ a Vet, I spend my lil bit of free time volunteering with an animal rescue group.
